01 · Privacy
Private by default
If something is meant to be private, it gets encrypted on your device before it goes anywhere. We'd rather be unable to read your data than ask you to trust that we won't.
Independent software lab
Gnosys Labs is a small, independent software lab. We make tools for communicating and sharing online that keep your data private and in your hands. No ads, no tracking, and nobody selling what you do to someone else.

++++
A lot of the software people use every day makes its money by watching them. We think that's a bad deal, so we build tools that keep conversations private and leave data with the people it belongs to.
01 · Privacy
If something is meant to be private, it gets encrypted on your device before it goes anywhere. We'd rather be unable to read your data than ask you to trust that we won't.
02 · Pace
We use whatever new tools and models get an idea working soonest. Being small means we can try things, learn fast, and change course without waiting on anyone.
03 · Care
The people who wrote the code are the same people who keep it running, fix it when it breaks, and answer the emails about it.
What we're working toward, in plain terms.
#1 · Conversation
Messaging, group chats, and moving files between your own devices should be private by default. That should come from how the software is built, so it doesn't depend on anyone's good intentions.
#2 · Ownership
Communities should be able to run their own spaces and set their own rules. Your identity and your connections should belong to you, so leaving a service doesn't mean starting over.
#3 · What comes next
Software gets more capable every year, and AI is speeding that up. We want that power to end up with individuals and small communities instead of piling up inside a few platforms.
An independent software lab. We're a small team building privacy-focused tools for communicating and sharing online, and we keep running them after they launch.
Some of it. A lot of our code is public at github.com/GnosysLabs, and some of it is closed source. If you have questions about a particular project, email us.
No. We don't run ads, we don't use third-party trackers, and we don't sell data about the people who use our software.
Technology is getting more powerful very quickly. We think the people building it have a responsibility to make sure it ends up serving ordinary people, and we want to be some of the ones doing that work.
